• Blocked special and super moves cause only white damage.
  
  
• Guard cancel and advanced guarding can be used during ground guarding (standing and crouching).
  
  
• If you block and the following hits combo, blocking continues automatically without the need to input.
  
  
• There is a 1 frame delay for changing between standing and crouching guard.
  (hence the B.B.Hood jumping HK -> c.xx .. unblockable).
  

While ground blocking (both standing and crouching) it's possible to input a character specific command to cancel the block stun into an attack.

• In B.B.Hood's case her Guard Cancel is not an attack.
  
  
• 14 frame input window from the moment of blocking.
  
  
• All characters but Hsien-Ko have their Guard Cancel move's damage reduced by half comparetively to the original version of the move.
  
  
• ES Guard Cancel done by the following characters is unblockable: Lilith, Demitri, Morrigan, Anakaris, L. Rapter (DF), Felicia and Bishamon.

While ground blocking (both standing and crouching) it is possible to pushback the opponent by a sucession of button presses during a small window of time while block stunned, also known as tech hit.

• The distance which the opponent is pushed back is determined by the strenght of the button that triggers the AG.
  
  
• 12 frame input window for each hit blocked.
  
  
• When two buttons or more are pushed simultaneously, it counts as 1 press.
