I´m a teacher at the Physiotherapy Department of the Alcoitão Health School  (ESSA). My experience with information technologies began when I worked as a clinical physiotherapist in an intensive care unit.

By then I had acquired some technological skills and began working with my professional association APF as Webmaster of the Homepage of the Interest Group of Cardio-respiratory Physiotherapy (GIFCR) and for the European Congress of Physiotherapy Education (ECPE). This collaboration is still ongoing.

Since I became a teacher, I have tried to integrate in the educational process the use of technologies, like specific educational software and through the creation and management of an Intranet (based on our School network) course based mainly in HTML, without database support. This intranet consists mainly of lessons materials, suggested bibliography, articles and short quizzes. We are also trying to promote the utilization and integration of software tools in the management of the physiotherapy process.
