Calonectris diomedea (Cory's Shearwater)
I guess everyone would agree that this is the most emblematic bird of the Azores. Hundreds of them gather in the sea at sunset, tens of them fly by cruising ships, and at night when they come to land, while they fly above us in the villages, no one will surely forget their noisy shounting calls. Once experienced, these calls remain a part of our memories and the chance to listen to them again wil bring to thought the moments past in previous ocasions where these sounds were the background of all whispering. Surely an unforgetable experience.
