1-TIM is played in 2 phases:
1.1- Free-matches
At the "free-matches" rounds is possible to play against any other team from TIM and get points to the TIM-Ranking and the TIM-FM CHAMPIONSHIP.
Free-matches can help the teams to improve their position at the TIM-Ranking and have a better position at the start of the Cup mode.
Things will happen like this at free-matches:
-The list of participants will be available on Tim’s website before each round. Each team have the possibility to choose one of these teams and get points.
At the free-matches rounds, teams can play:
-normal or cup rules
-home, away or on a neutral ground
Would be nice if all teams could play some matches at home and other away but each team is free to make its choice.
Points to TIM-Ranking* and TIM-FM Championship are acquired by the following modes:
to win during the 90 minutes - 3 pts
to win at extra-time or penalty shoots - 2pts
to loose at extra-time/penalty s. or to draw in normal rules - 1pt
to loose during the 90 minutes - 0 pt
*TIM Ranking: Order teams by their past performance at TIM. For the XVI TIM the formula will be like this: (10% of the points at XIII TIM + 20% XIV TIM + 30% XV TIM + 40% XVI TIM)
1.2- Cup mode
To play the Cup-mode teams are listed by their TIM-ranking. The scheme of the cup is like the following simulation with only 4 teams:
1st round
Match A: 1st at TIM Ranking/4th at TIM Ranking
Match B: 2nd/3rd
2nd round
Match 1: winner match A/winner match B
Match 2: loser match A/loser match B
Of course we must make some adjustments while we have less than 128 teams. Some of the losers will be reintegrated in the winners group (teams with better HT-Stars at that round).
Within this scheme anyone can win the Cup and everyone can have the same number of matches. At the last round, in theory, the best teams will play against the best teams and the worst will play against the worst, so matches will be more competitive round after round.
Cup Mode matches are in Cup rules.
If teams book their match in normal rules and they happen to draw, the winner will be the one that has more HT Stars during that match.
All matches must be booked until SUNDAY at 11PM HT TIME. Although, matches can be booked after this deadline if it is a common agreement.
If a team doesn’t book the match will loose by 5-0, but the situation must be reported to the administrator before the match. If ha team don't book the right match a second time without justification could be put out of the cup.
2-There are 2 tables at TIM
2.1-TIM’s Cup final table that will be the result of the Cup mode matches. So, in order to win the TIM-CUP a team must win all the cup mode matches (at regular time or at extra time/penalties)
2.2- All points from cup mode matches are important to TIM Championship. The TIM-Championship winner will be the team with more points (or points/goal average, if necessary).
2-There are 3 Cups at TIM
3.1- Losers at first rounds could be out of the TIM-Champions Cup, but they still with chances to win one of the other cups: TIM-Golden Cup or TIM-Silver Cup.
4-Other information
4.1- If possible, there will be some other tables like Fair-Play, HT-Stats, HT-Stars, Guess the Score, Crowd or others.
4.2- That tables could be or not available- Some changes could be done in the 4.3 tables if necessary.
4.3- Isn’t really the most important but we also have some prizes. Teams will collect points from their final positions at TIM-tables. 100 pts will give the 3 month supporter prize.
